This Course includes all the music and voices the beginning student will be learning. There are play-along videos that can be adjusted for speed and MP3 downloads. We recommend that student hear the music many times. Listening is a "magic" activity that prepares the student cognitively and emotionally. It will make the learning more eager and accurate.

Childbloom Free Complete Student Course: Learning to Read Music and beyond
THE VIDEOS - This course is provided free to all our students who are working at home with their Childbloom Instructor during the Covid-19 home study and social distancing. We hope parents and students make use of the course in conjunction with the goals and assignments of your Instructor.
WHAT THIS OFFERS - This course provides play-along, practice videos for the Childbloom student. These short videos target the most problematic parts of each piece in the Childbloom Guitar Program curriculum - from the beginning stages to the most advanced. By playing along with the videos the student's practice can be made more effective and mastery can be quicker, especially as the student is able to focus more deeply. Focusing deeply creates deep learning. There is accompanying text to each video to remind the student what to focus on in the video.
The videos can be slowed down to accommodate the student's needs or sped up for a challenge.
BRAIN/HAND EXERCISES - There is also a special exercise UNIT (Brain/hand patterns) that will help the student develop motor-skill on the instrument and can be used by the more advanced students.
This method of practice is more effective when there is a teacher, parent or friend guiding the repetitions of the student - but eventually the student should be able to use this course of practice videos without outside help.
We have provided a guide to the appropriate number of repetitions for each age (see "GET STARTED-READ THIS FIRST" menu).
THEORY - We have added some basic music theory explanations and downloadable worksheets for students. This material can be checked for accuracy by your Childbloom Instructor. By working though this step-by-step material the interested student will learn about scales, chords, intervals, keys and other important musical concepts. There is also material to help the student learn to read notes in the higher positions on the fretboard.
